Travel vaccines for Egypt
Nile cruises, the Red Sea and the pyramids are popular, with food and water hygiene the main day-to-day concern.
Vaccines commonly advised for Egypt

Very low. There is no significant malaria risk for tourists in the main destinations, and antimalarial tablets are not generally recommended.
Not required for most travellers, but a certificate is needed if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.
What most visitors need
Whether you are exploring the pyramids at Giza, cruising the Nile between Luxor and Aswan or diving off the Red Sea coast, the most common health issues in Egypt relate to food and water. For that reason we usually recommend hepatitis A and typhoid cover, along with a check that your tetanus, diphtheria and polio protection is current. Stomach upsets are common, so stick to bottled or treated water, be wary of ice and salads, and choose food that has been freshly and thoroughly cooked.
Other things to weigh up
Malaria is not a meaningful concern for tourists in Egypt, so antimalarial tablets are not normally needed. For longer stays, more rural travel or work placements, hepatitis B and rabies are worth a conversation, as rabies is present in animals and post-exposure treatment can be harder to access away from the cities. Cholera vaccination is occasionally considered for travellers heading to higher-risk settings or with particular health needs. Yellow fever vaccination is not required unless you are arriving from a country where the disease occurs, in which case a certificate is needed.
Sort it before you go
Most of what you need for Egypt can be arranged quickly, but it is still best not to leave it to the last minute, especially if a vaccine needs a second dose. Coming in around four weeks before departure gives plenty of room.
